Follow the restoration of "Frolic."
Those of you who regularly race the waters in and around San Diego are probably familar with "Flirt," Jack & Cheryl Swendsen's 44' Luder's yawl bearing the sail number "NA 9." Luders designed and built nine of these yachts in the 1940's to train midshipmen at Annapolis. Jack & Cheryl spent several years restoring Flirt, and, since you couldn't be around to see it, they decided to buy Flirt's sistership, "Frolic," and show us all how to do it even better. And, since we also have several years on our hands, we'll be maintaining an internet vigil on the work and periodically update you on what's happening. So here's the first installment of photos. We'll get explanations up as soon as possible, but the photos and boat are beautiful without them.
(Of course you'd click to enlarge these, why not?)
