The Event:
This charity race will be conducted in San Diego Bay and will be open to all members of yacht clubs and associations recognized by USSA. This is a pre-entry race.Entries: Entry forms will be accepted at the CVYC office, 642 Marina Pkwy, Chula Vista, CA. 91910, prior to 1600 August 15,2001. Race packets will be available at the CVYC office after August 14 and through 1100, August 19. They will also be available on request by mail.
Awards: Results and awards will be presented at the post-race barbecue at approx. 1700 hours and will include all classes, first overall PHRF and first to finish. Multihulls will not be eligible for either of the CVYC Rainbow Regatta Perpetual Trophies
Dockage: Slips may be available for participating monohull boats- contact the CVYC office, (619) 422-7888 (or via e- mail at "chulavistayachtclub@msn.com") prior to 1600, August 16, 2001. Non-overnight guest dockage may be available for monochulls the morning of the race and for the post-race activities - contact the CVYC office prior to 1600, August 18. (Advisory: Approx. 7’ depth at MLW.) Space is limited and prior arrangements are required.

B PHRF 128 or below - Spinnaker
C PHRF 129 & above - Spinnaker
D PHRF 174 or less - Non-spinnaker
E PHRF 175 and above - Non-spinnaker
F CVHF
Non-spinnaker ratings will include PHRF Appendix 3 offsets.

Handicaps: Additional handicap is available from the Race Committee at the rate of $10 per second, payable with the application/entry fee, to Rainbow Regatta . Handicaps so adjusted will be applied to class awards but will not be applied to awarding of perpetual trophies.

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry in the Rainbow Regatta race, I hereby agree to the following conditions and certify that the statements made herein are true as follows:
1. I agree with CVYC and any contestants to comply with the rules and Sailing Instructions of the regatta.
2. I hereby certify that I have conducted a safety inspection of my yacht and that my boat's equipment and safety gear are in compliance with the requirements of the USCG and the California Boating Law.
3. I hereby release Chula Vista Yacht Club, its officers, agents or committee persons, from any and all
liability for any injury to myself, my crew members or my yacht arising out of their conduct of the regatta.
4. I assume any risk of injury arising out of my participation in this regatta, failure or breakage of my vessel or any of its equipment, or hazards of weather.
5. I am aware that each skipper assumes sole responsibility for the decision to race in this regatta.
